The dates are Thursday September 24th to Sunday 27th 2009 hosted by the Maltese Kendo Federation

The seminar will be lead by Masatake Sumi 8th Dan Hanshi assisted by: Isao Uegaki, Fumio Mori & Junichi Tashiro 8th Dan Kyoshi, Jumpei Matsumoto 7th Dan Kyoshi, Terry Holt and Paul Budden 7th Dan Renshi plus many other guest sensei.

2009 is the 20th anniversary of Sumi sensei leading this event and we are offering both a unique opportunity to visit the beautiful islands of Malta & Gozo and take part in probably the most famous Kendo seminar held outside of Japan.

There will also be a grading from 1st kyu to 5th Dan under the auspices of the Maltese Kendo Federation – EKF members.

Family and friends are also most welcome to join and there is afternoon free time (apart from on the Sunday) for all attendees to enjoy the many beaches on the island, just relax by the hotel/guest house pools, or go sightseeing in Victoria (the capital) and the surrounding area.

The attendance cost in Sterling is €190 including 3 nights accommodation on half board (breakfast & evening meal) and Sayonara Party. This is based on twin room accommodation.

Accommodation is at the Downtown hotel Gozo and at Gozo Dreams, so please check out the links to view the high level of facilities available. (All guest houses have swimming pools, as does the hotel).

All meals will be taken at the Downtown hotel.
